I am wondering how character save data works. Is the 'player' folder in the Starbound directory not the folder your character is saved at? I have multiple computers and often switch between depending on whether I am traveling, working, etc.
And I copied the data over to play my character. However, my character does not display when I load the game. There has been no patch and the game version is the same, so I am confused. Am I missing something or is there something I should be doing? I tried creating a new character thinking maybe the game doesn't know to check that folder until something was created, but that didn't work. Addtionally, I deleted the new character data in the player folder, but the new character I created still shows up in the game.
Which brings me to my next concern, if this isn't the location where the character is stored. Then where is it getting the character data?
